How to Get: Authenticated NSO Birth Certificate

One of the most basic requirements in applying for a job is providing a copy of your authenticated birth certificate from the National Statistics Office. 

There are three ways to get your copy, this includes walking in the office of the nearest NSO office, online request, or telephone request.

Walk-In

For walk-in requests, you will have to bring:

• P140.00
• Duly accomplished application form
• Valid ID

For those who have a representative in acquiring NSO authenticated birth certificates, your representative needs to bring the following:

Valid ID of the representative and your valid ID. To save time, tell the representative to photo copy the ID’s.

Authorization letter duly signed by the owner of the birth certificate.

Note that the processing will only take one day, and the birth certificate can be released within that day.

If the data or information of the requester in the NSO system is inconsistent or unreadable, the authenticated birth certificate can only be released within the time-frame stated to you by the office after validation. 

Mostly, this will take 10 to 15 working days, depending on the issue on the requestor’s data and information.

Online Requests

For online requests and delivery, the applicant must access the e-Census website here and follow the steps.

The fee is P350.00 which you have to deposit at any of the following banks/payment center near you:

• BDO
• Union Bank
• Mail More

The processing time and delivery will take 5 to 9 working days.

Telephone Requests

You have to call 737-111. Then, follow and provide the necessary information which will be asked from you by the operator.

After which, you will be asked to pay P330.00 in any of the following banks/payment center:

• Any Bancnet ATM
• Bayad Center
• Metrobank 

The processing time and delivery will take 3 to 7 working days.

For online and telephone requests, the receiver of the authenticated birth certificate from NSO must have a valid ID on hand.
